The Małe Klimki ensemble was established by the Zakopane Highlanders’ Association in 1988. Initially it operated under the name Children’s Theatre.
In 1995 it changed its name to Małe Klimki, taking its inspiration from an older group - the Klimek Bachleda Ensemble, which had been active in Zakopane since 1992.
The group presents the folklore of Skalne Podhale through dance, singing, music, dialect and customs, which are rich and still alive in Skalne Podhale.
It often takes part in events and celebrations in the municipalities of Podhale.
Thanks to the ensemble, the children have visited beautiful regions of Poland, parts of Europe and have also been to a festival in Izmir (Turkey).
The director of the ensemble is Zofia Kubiniec-Stanuch.
