Deputy Mayor of the City of Zakopane - Agnieszka Nowak-Gąsienica and the Artistic Director of the 53rd International Festival of Mountain Folklore - Hanka Rybka visited today all the participants whose works can be admired at the Folk Art and Crafts Fair in the festival village. It was an opportunity to personally thank the artists presenting their works and to present them with commemorative diplomas and festival gifts. The Festival is brimming with talents of the artists! This year we can admire the works of as many as forty artists from Opoczno, Świnna, Gdańsk, Żywiec, Leśnica, Szaflary, Bobowa, Stryszawa, Łódź, Koniaków, Czechowice-Dziedzice, Koniaków, Stoczek Łukowski, Stryszawa, Toruń, Murzasichle, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Sieradz, Stary Sącz, Gliczarów Górny, Bytom, Zduńska Wola, Katowice, Istebna, Kościelisko, Nowe Bystre and Zakopane. This year the audience can admire the Opoczno and Kashubian embroidery, tissue making, painting on glass, prose and poetry, bobbin and shuttle lace, wood carving, cutouts from Łowicz, lace making, hand embroidery, stained glass and ceramics, toys, jewelry, pillows, tapestries, highlander's bags, candles and wax figures, woodcut, blacksmithing and metalwork. The International Festival of Highland Folklore has been organized under the Honorary Patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland Mr. Andrzej Duda and the President's Wife, Mrs. Agata Kornhauser-Duda.
