The “Zielony Jawor” Regional Ensemble from Krempachy

The ensemble was established in 1989. Its repertoire includes traditional dances from its native region of Spisz, as well as Slovak and Hungarian dances. The group has participated many times in national and international competitions, reviews, and festivals, where it has received numerous awards and distinctions.
The ensemble consists of four age groups: two children’s groups, a youth group, and an adult group, as well as a folk music band. In total, it brings together over 100 members.
Important awards and achievements include: the Gold Mask and Silver Mask awards at the “Przepatrzowiny” competition in Czarny Dunajec; 1st place at the international Janosik’s Dukat Festival in the Czech Republic; a distinction at the Podpolanie International Festival in Slovakia; 2nd place at the Małopolska Talents competition in Skawina; 1st place in Łużna at the “Małopolska Traditions” competition for the performance “Krempachy Wedding”; the Silver Boat award at the International Festival of Young Creators in Łódź; 2nd place at the European Folklore Meetings in Sokołów Podlaski; 1st place at the Golden Ear (Złoty Kłos) Competition in 2020 for dance and singing; 1st prize at the National Folk Ensemble Competition in Rzeszów in 2022; 1st place at the International Festival in Lithuania in 2018; and the Biłgoraj Starost Award at the National Competition of Rural Theatres in Tarnogród in 2023.
The ensemble has also repeatedly won 1st place at the “Spiskie Zwyki” competition in Niedzica. In 2025, it received 2nd place at the Małopolska “Orawskie Posiady” Competition.
