The “Bartusie” Regional Ensemble is a multi-generational group of people united by their love for culture, music, singing, and traditional highlander dance. After nearly ten years of inactivity, the ensemble was reactivated to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of the outstanding Podhale musician – Bartuś Obrochta.
The reunion after many years showed that “Bartusie” still carry the same joy, energy, and desire to preserve traditions together. Today, the ensemble is active once again, bringing generations together and passing on to younger members what is most valuable in the culture of Podhale.
The initiator of the ensemble’s revival and its director is Kinga Urbaniak.
“Bartusie” – because tradition lives when it connects people and generations.
